Israeli authorities on Thursday decided to close the Karem Shalom crossing a few hours after opening it on Thursday morning, officials said. Nathmi Muhana, the director general of crossings, told Ma'an that Israel informed the Palestinian side that the crossing would be closed. He noted that dozens of trucks were supposed to enter the Gaza Strip. Muhana said the Palestinian side received no official explanation but it was likely that the decision was related to rockets fired into southern Israel early Thursday.
