Corey Sligh, a 27-year-old actor who has appeared on TV's The Young and the Restless, was hit by a car, then beaten by the driver in a Thanksgiving altercation, his girlfriend said.
Alisa Berhorst told CBS affiliate KCAL9 the incident happened when she and her boyfriend stopped at a West Hollywood Rite Aid on their way to deliver Thanksgiving dinner to a friend.
Sligh yelled at a motorist -- who allegedly nearly mowed them down in the pharmacy parking lot -- to take it easy.
"They almost hit people in the parking lot. They were hitting curbs, and Corey said, 'Please slow down or we're gonna call the cops, just go home,'" Berhorst said Friday, adding the driver responded by first hitting Sligh with his car, then getting out with a passenger to beat Sligh.
The model and actor sustained a broken arm he needed surgery to repair, as well as other injuries.
"The whole imagery of everything that happened last night is still very fresh and scary," Berhorst said.
The Los Angeles Police Department said they have arrested two male suspects, who left the scene, but crashed their car a short distance away.
