ABC News' Barbara Walters was in a Washington hospital Sunday, the day after she took a tumble and cut her forehead at an inauguration party, the network said. ABC News spokesman Jeffrey Schneider said the longtime TV newswoman fell on a step Saturday night while at a party at the residence of the British ambassador to the United States, CBS News reported. Schneider said Walters, 83, went to the hospital "out of an abundance of caution." She was treated for the cut and given a full examination, he said. Walters was alert "and telling everyone what to do," which is "a very positive sign," Schenider said Sunday. CBS said it was unclear when the ABC News contributor and creator of "The View" would be released from the hospital.
