The Bridges of Madison County, a Broadway musical based on Robert James Waller's romantic novel, is to close May 18, producers announced. Starring Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale, the show will have played 137 performances by the time it wraps. It last week earned four Tony Award nominations, including a Best Actress in a Musical nod for O'Hara. Featuring music by Jason Robert Brown, the musical is about an Italian war bride living in 1960s Iowa when she unexpectedly falls in love with a handsome stranger she meets by chance while her husband and teenage children are away for a few days. The show is to embark on a national tour in the fall of 2015.
