Julia Louis-Dreyfus playfully kissed Bryan Cranston -- who played a recurring role on her sitcom Seinfeld -- after she won an Emmy Award for her work on her latest comedy series Veep Monday night.
When the pair presented an award together earlier in the evening, Louis-Dreyfus remarked on how much Cranston resembled an actor who guest starred in several episodes of Seinfeld.
"You look so much like the actor in Seinfeld who played the dentist that I dated as Elaine and who converted to Judaism for the jokes," Louis-Dreyfus told Cranston.
"Tim Whatley," Cranston offered.
"Yes! Good for you! That's right!" Louis-Dreyfus marveled.
"That was me," Cranston said, prompting Louis-Dreyfus to laugh and start reading off the names of the Best Actor in a Comedy nominees.
When she was done, Cranston insisted, "We actually had a kissing scene," to which Louis-Dreyfus jokingly made an unpleasant face.
Moments later when she won her Emmy for Veep, Cranston jumped out of the audience and kissed her on the lips until Jimmy Fallon broke up the embrace.
Taking the stage to collect her statuette, Louis-Dreyfus quipped, "Yeah, he was on Seinfeld."
