With rock jukebox productions such as "Million Dollar Quartet" proving that there's money to be made translating pop music to the Broadway stage, maybe it's no surprise that Cher is working on a musical incorporating her songs into her life story. While the singer's Twitter feed is the sort of wild and woolly place that could lead copy editors and casual fans of "Eats, Shoots & Leaves" into a cerebral infarction, Cher spoke of the musical as one of her ongoing projects amid a series of grammatical leaps. One tweet somewhat cryptically said, "Prods. R writing mucial now about my life with my music," and another added, "I'm help.2 write cause i was there & know stories that no1 knows but me! I hope it happens!" The singer also described a structure that included three versions of herself, one up through the "Sonny & Cher" years, another up to her "Believe" tour in the '00s and a third in present day.Cher admitted to having Broadway in mind in another tweet, in which she also cautioned, "IT'S A VERY SLOW PROCESS! been working on it quite a while now." As if that weren't enough to temper expectations, a spokeswoman for Cher reportedly told the Awl that no date was set for the show, which is still years away. Still, for those disappointed by Cher's 2010 big-screen musical "Burlesque," hope springs eternal that the singer can have better luck in another effort to "turn back time." from gulfnews.com
