Actor Ed Lauter has died of cancer at his home in West Hollywood, Calif., Deadline.com reported. He was 74. The celebrity news website said the character actor died Wednesday of an unspecified, rare form of cancer. The New York native's film credits include "The Artist," "Trouble with the Curve," "Leaving Las Vegas," "Mulholland Falls," "The Rocketeer," "My Blue Heaven," "Family Plot," "Youngblood," "The Longest Yard" and its remake. He also appeared on the TV shows "Shameless," "E.R.," "The Office," "Grey's Anatomy," "CSI," "Law & Order," "Psych," "NYPD Blue," "Walker, Texas Ranger," "The X Files," "The Equalizer," "Murder, She Wrote," "Magnum, P.I.," "Simon and Simon," "Charlie's Angels," "The Rockford Files," "Police Story," "Baretta," "Cannon," "Mannix" and "B.J. and the Bear."
