Jillian Michaels has added her voice to the New York City horse-drawn carriage debate. The 40-year-old Biggest Loser trainer joins Alec Baldwin, Lea Michele, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, and countless other activists in their fight to ban the city's iconic horse-drawn carriages. Their objection is based on claims that the horses are mistreated. Michaels was spotted at a PETA-sponsored anti-carriage rally outside City Hall on Monday. She cares for three rescued horses at her farm in California, and expressed her willingness to adopt another. "[The horses] do not belong in congested city traffic on the streets of Manhattan," she asserted at the protest. Michaels and the anti-carriage movement are opposed by Liam Neeson and others who believe the carriages cause no harm.
