New Jersey-born Barbara Park, author of the "Junie B. Jones" series of children's books, has died after a long battle with ovarian cancer, WebProNews reported. She was 66. Among her best-selling titles are "Junie B. Jones and Her Big Fat Mouth" and "Junie B., First Grader [at last!]" Park and her husband, Richard, divided their time between homes in Arizona and Long Beach Island, N.J. in recent years. "These days, Richard and I divide our time between the desert and the ocean. In the words of Junie B. Jones, I'm a lucky duck," she had said on the Random House publishing website. WebProNews did not say Park was when she died Friday.
