Lindsay Lohan's publicist says the U.S. actress is not planning to attend a New Year's Eve party in Dubai, contrary to what the event's planners have said. "Lindsay is not going to Dubai, nor had she ever considered doing so. She will be spending New Year's Eve in Los Angeles with a few close friends and family," her representative Steve Honig told TMZ. Lawyers for the "Mean Girls" and "The Parent Trap" actress are threatening to sue the promoters of the Dubai party if they don't stop saying Lohan will be a guest at the bash on the Queen Elizabeth II cruise ship on Saturday night, the celebrity news Web site reported. The 25-year-old former child star is on the comeback trail after years of drug addiction and legal troubles stalled her once-bright acting career. She most recently appeared in a photo spread for Playboy magazine.
