Egyptian actress Hala Sedki expressed her deepest sorrow at the tragic condition Egypt is in. Hala told her views on the matter saying: “Of course we want to stop the strikes and demonstrations taking place in Egypt, but without tragic losses of innocent lives.” According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, Hala added: “I feel great sorrow at every drop of blood that's shed from Egyptian citizens.” In addition, the patriotic actress stressed her extreme anger at the acts of vandalism and the burning of churches around Egypt saying: “Why are our churches being burned? Is this to create to create even more controversy?” The politically-involved star said that conditions are very disgraceful and sad, but that they won't allow the rioters to create tension and conspiracy between Muslims and Christians.
