California - UPI

There is no evidence reality TV star Bruce Jenner was being chased by photographers when he was involved in a fatal car crash Saturday afternoon.
Jenner, 65, was not injured in the collision, but the unidentified female driver of the car he allegedly hit and pushed into oncoming traffic was declared dead at the scene on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
"As of right now, there is no indication that Bruce Jenner was being chased by paparazzi at the time of the crash," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. John Lecrivain told CNN.
"There was a possibility that paparazzi was following him at the time of the crash, but that is a very regular occurrence, and [there is] no indication at this time it was a contributing factor of the crash."
TMZ said investigators plan to obtain search warrants for Jenner's cell phone and call records to determine if Jenner was texting while driving, which is illegal in California.
Jenner could possibly be charged with vehicular manslaughter if it is proven he was texting at the time of the collision.
Police have said Jenner passed a sobriety test, TMZ said.
Jenner has been making headlines lately due to his process of transitioning from man to woman. He is expected to address his life-changing decision on Sunday's Season 10 premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
