A companion on Prince Harry's South Pole journey with wounded veterans says the British royal told "eye-wateringly rude jokes." Actor Dominic West, a celebrity patron of one of the three teams on the antarctic trip, said the prince also built elaborate toilets for his companions, the Daily Telegraph reported. "It was cool having Harry there because he was very much part of the team. He seemed to specialize in building the latrines and he built these incredibly elaborate ones," West said. "He did one with castellated sides and a flag pole, a loo roll holder, and you're sitting there thinking 'this is a real royal flush.' He must have spent about 40 minutes making it." The trip started out as a race to the pole between teams of British, Commonwealth and U.S. veterans. When bad weather hit, the teams joined forces for safety reasons and reached the South Pole on Dec. 13. West, a British actor known for appearing on the U.S. television show "The Wire," was a patron of the Commonwealth team. He described Harry as "kind," saying he was a big help when he was having trouble with his skis. But West also said Harry told "eye-wateringly rude jokes, which for a non-soldier like me was quite shocking." Their arrival at the pole was a celebration with some team members dancing naked, West said. He said the Icelandic truck drivers supporting the expedition provided champagne, which Harry drank from a veteran's prosthetic leg.
