A Las Vegas judge has ordered rapper and TV personality Flavor Flav to stand trial for allegedly threatening his girlfriend's 17-year-old son with a knife. Justice of the Peace Melanie Andress-Tobiasson announced her decision at a hearing Wednesday, E! News reported. The jurist determined there is enough evidence for Flav to be tried in Nevada state court on felony charges of assault with a weapon and child endangerment. The hip-hop artist was arrested Oct. 17, 2012. He is accused of shoving Elizabeth Trujillo, his live-in girlfriend of eight years, during a heated argument. Confronted by Trujillo's 17-year-old son who tried to intervene, Flav allegedly grabbed a butcher's knife, a steak knife and a pizza cutter, and chased the 6-foot-3-inch-tall boy to a bedroom, threatening his life and stabbing the door with a knife, E! said. Andress-Tobiasson set April 18 as the date for Flav's arraignment on the felony charges and a misdemeanor domestic violence battery charge. It is unclear whether Flav and Trujillo are still a couple.
