MediaCorp actor Qi Yu Wu, who was driving home when he got involved in a six-car pile-up along Upper Thomson Road on Tuesday, will be turning up for the Star Awards 2012 Show 2 this Sunday, said a MediaCorp artiste manager who works with him. The artiste manager confirmed that Qi had received outpatient treatment at a hospital after the accident and has been recuperating at home since then. Earlier photos of Qi after the accident showed him with cuts on his neck and face, but it appears Qi's injuries are not so serious that they would prevent him from attending the glamorous awards show, which will be held at Marina Bay Sands. This will be great news for his fans and celebrity friends like Patricia Mok and Priscelia Chan, who have wished him a speedy recovery over their micro blogs after finding out about his accident. Thirty-five-year-old Qi, a Guangzhou native, has been nominated for Best Actor at this year's Star Awards for his performance in the police drama C.L.I.F., and is in the running for the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes Award, an award he has won seven times so far.
