London - AFP

Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal's dismal start to the season means his side have no margin for error when they face Blackburn at Ewood Park on Saturday. Wenger's side recovered from the 8-2 mauling they received at the hands of Manchester United by claiming their first league win of the season against Swansea. That narrow 1-0 victory result prompted relief and was followed by a 1-1 draw at Borussia Dortmund, ensuring Arsenal’s Champions League campaign got off on a positive note. But a solitary win in four league games is hardly the mark of a side with title ambitions and Wenger admits it will take a more consistent run of results to change the growing view that Arsenal are losing ground on the two Manchester clubs, United and City, and Chelsea. "We feel we have turned the corner, but we will be judged by the consistency of our results," he said. "Inside the club, we feel we are on the right track, the spirit in the team is good, strong and together. "We want to change the sceptisicm around us, but that will only be if we are consistent with our results. "Let's get result after result, stick together and not talk too much. "We must win. We live in an environment that questions us when we don’t win. We do not criticise that and have to live with that. We have to show performances, consistency and attitude quality." Midfielder Aaron Ramsey is doubtful while Thomas Vermaelen, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby are still several weeks away from a return. Steve Kean, meanwhile, insists he is not feeling the pressure amid calls from supporters to remove him from his manager's post at Blackburn. Rovers are stranded bottom of the Premier League with just one point from four games, prompting moves by some fans to oust him. They have launched an on-line petition and 1,000 supporters plan to march to Ewood Park as they demand that Indian-based owners Venky's act. Venky's chiefs, who will be at Ewood Park on Saturday, have since come out and urged the disgruntled faithful to give their backing to the Lancashire club. And Kean says everyone should be united, and said: "I understand their frustration as I've been frustrated myself and the players too. "We feel that we have played well enough to have more points so we all share that frustration. "What we need is for everyone to stick with us and give us their backing. There have been a couple of frustrating results, although the performances have been good in parts and we've just got to put it together for 90 minutes. "The owners are frustrated as well. We are all anxious and anticipating the points to go with our performances. "It's good that the owners have come out and backed the club and asked the fans to support the team." Blackburn got off the mark for the campaign, after three straight league defeats, with a 1-1 draw with Fulham last time out. And defender Chris Samba believes Blackburn can use that result as a springboard to secure their first league win of the season against Arsenal. "I think it was a good point at Fulham and that was very important," said Samba. "It can be a turning point. Arsenal is a good game, but if we work hard I think we can win the game." "We have many good players and a good team so think we can win. I think the team can get confidence from the Fulham game and kick on from this." Kean will be without Ryan Nelsen while David Dunn and Morten Gamst Pedersen face late fitness tests. Junior Hoilett, who received a sickening bang to the head in a collision with Mark Schwarzer at Craven Cottage, has recovered from concussion.
