Malian FM Abdoulaye Diop
Algiers - APS

Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs, the African Integration and the International Cooperation, Abdoulaye Diop, hailed Wednesday here the historical decision of the armed movements of northern Mali to adhere to dialogue in their quest for lasting peace.
"On behalf of President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, I welcome the historical decision of the northern Mali movements to integrate their actions in a framework of dialogue so to achieve lasting peace," Diop said during the first stage of the inter-Malian inclusive dialogue.
He hoped that this "face to face" will end in a "side by side" to realize "in near future a Mali of our aspirations, hand in hand and definitively."
"We are obliged to achieve peace and stability by a collective wary and preservation of our common values enabling us to live in harmony and in the respect of the human dignity,” Diop added.
He has expressed "deep gratitude" to President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika for his "tireless" support to the Malian people in the most difficult moments.
The six movements concerned are the Arab Movement of Azawad (MAA), the Coordination for the People of Azawad (CPA), the Coordination of Movements and Fronts of Patriotic Resistance (CM-SAF), the National Liberation Movement of Azawad (MNLA), the High Council for the Unity of the Azawad (HCUA) and the Arab Movement of Azawad (dissent).
