At least 22 people were killed and 68 others injured when a powerful blast occurred Friday outside a mosque in the Pakistani city of Parachinar near the borders with Afghanistan.
The blast reportedly took place as worshippers gathered for the Friday prayer at a market of Parachinar city near the women's prayer area, local officials said. No one has claimed responsibility for the bombing so far.
Pakistani military had launched the Operation Elimination of Evils days after a series of deadly attacks killed more than 115 people across the country in just over a week, including civilians, policemen and soldiers.
