Islamabad - KUNA

At least two persons were killed and more than six others were wounded in a suicide blast that targeted the convoy of a wanted Taliban commander on Thursday in Pakistan's troubled South Waziristan tribal agency, bordering Afghanistan, said sources. The incident took place in busy Rustam Wana Bazaar of the agency. According to security sources, a suicide bomber blew himself up as Mullah Nazir, commander of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)'s factional group, was coming out of a mosque in the Bazaar. The blast killed two persons, including a 14-year old boy, sources told KUNA, adding, more than six others, including Mullah Nazir were wounded in the attack. Sources said that Mullah Nazir is said to be in stable condition. However, other local media reported that Nazir was seriously wounded.
