At least 27 civilians were killed and 57 others injured last due to the fall of random shells targeting residential neighborhoods in the coastal city of Benghazi in May, well-placed sources in Benghazi said on Monday.

Several victims were targeted by snipers and others were hit by mortars, the sources said.

The injuries range from simple, medium and critical, the sources added.
