Libya's interim government
Tripoli - KUNA

Libya's interim government, led by Abdullah Al-Theni, said Saturday it did not order the closure of any sea or air ports in the western region.
The competent authorities are verifying reports in this regard, according to an official statement received by KUNA.
The statement reassured the citizens and airlines about the continuity of air traffic and maritime navigation at all ports countrywide.
Ruling out the existence of any new instructions in this connection, the government promised that civil aviation and seaports authorities will make official announcements about any possible closure if need be.
It called on the mass media to be more accurate and credible, and avoid disseminating groundless rumors or misinformation that could harm the interests of the citizens, travelers and airlines.
Yesterday forces loyal to Libyan Gen. (ret.) Khalifa Haftar announced that they closed down the airports of Mitiga - near Tripoly, and Misrata, and the seaports of Misrata, Sirt and Zowarah.
Spokesman of the Haftar's forces Maj. Mohammad Al-Hejazi said any aircraft or vessels using ports in these military zones will be liable to a punitive action.
