Iraqi forces launched on Thursday a military operation to free two villages in the northern Iraqi governorate of Ninawa from Daesh.
In press statements, Ninawa operations commander Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rasheed said army forces started to advance to liberate Abbas Rajab and Numaniya villages from Daesh.
On November 4, six districts east of the Iraqi city of Mosul were liberated from Daesh terrorists.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi gave the go-ahead of the Ninawa liberation operation on October 17.
