Joint Iraqi forces launched on Thursday an operation to free areas and villages in southern Falluja which are controlled by Daesh.
In press statements on Thursday, Anbar operations commander Ismail Mallawi said the operation to liberate southern Falluja from the hands of Daesh started early Thursday with the participation of the armed forces and tribal fighters.
International coalition warjets contribute to the operation, he added.
