Iraqi joint forces, backed by US-led airstrikes, on Saturday killed 277 Daesh militants as part of an ongoing operation to liberate Mosul.
Chief of Mosul liberation operations Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Yarallah said the forces made progress in some axes of the operation.
He added that dozens of militants were killed and car bombs were destroyed.
Yarallah said four new districts were liberated in the city.
He added that simultaneous operations were also launched for clearing the liberated districts from Daesh control.
