Iraqi helicopter crashes in Wasit
Baghdad - KUNA
An Iraqi Air Force chopper hit a communication tower in Wasit Governorate, eastern Iraq, while carrying out relief operations during rain floods, with no causalities reported on Thursday. Iraq is currently under a wave of heavy rains and low air pressure coming from the Arabian Peninsula affected the aircraft's operation, Security source in Iraq Defense ministry told KUNA. The rains led to floods in Diwaniya, Amarah and Kut provinces, causing material damage. The Iraqi government has formed a distress committee to discuss the relief operations.
