At least nine people were killed and 24 others wounded in a suicide car bombing explosion in Sadr City, east of Baghdad on Wednesday, according to an Iraqi security source.
The bomber detonated a booby-trapped car he was driving, targeting several cars queued near a fuel station in the city, leaving nine civilians, including two women, dead, and 24 others, including 8 women and three children, injured, the source told KUNA.
It added that the bombing also caused much damage to about eight cars and the fuel station, as well as commercial shops at the street.
