Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) said on Saturday they have discovered 10 mass graves for servicemen and civilians in Hawijah city.
Mass graves have been discovered during the operation of liberating Hawijah city and remains of women and children were found among them. Forces coordinate with specialized units to examine remains of the bodies to identify them, Al Sumaria channel reported, quoting a statement by the PMF.
Prime Minister Haider al Abadi announced earlier the liberation of Hawijah city from Daesh terrorist group, asserting that Daesh only existed on the borderline with Syria.
