United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday assured Bangladesh of support for its general elections in 2014, dpa reported. "The United Nations is ready to provide any technical and logistical support to Bangladesh in holding the elections in 2014,"said Ban, while wrapping up his three-day visit to the South Asian country. Ban, who met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed and opposition leader Khaleda Zia, said he was aware of the differences among politicians over the supervision of a non-party caretaker administration, which was constitutionally mandated to oversee the polls.
