Kuwait - KUNA

At least 77 people, including three children and four women, were killed on Sunday as the Syrian regular troops renewed their bombardment on several parts of the country. The Local Coordination Committees (LCC) located the fatalities as 21 in Damascus and its suburbs; 20 in Deir-Ezzor - mostly field executions in Jubeileh neighborhood; 17 in Aleppo; seven in Daraa; five in Hama; four in Homs; two in Idlib and one in Raqqa. The death toll is expected to rise further as the army continues the indiscriminate shelling of residential areas countrywide, according to an LCC statement received here. Meanwhile, fierce fighting continued between the regular troops and the Free Syrian Army countrywide. Yesterday, the LCC reported 169 civilian deaths, including women and children, noting that the death toll of the conflict exceeded 60,000 since March, 2011.
