Syrian Army Take Control of Key Eastern Aleppo District

Syrian army troops stationed at Hanano barracks in eastern Aleppo city shelled civilians’ houses in Al Shaar district, leaving a number of people dead and injured, Sky News reported on Sunday.

A woman and a child were killed in Atarib town while five other people were injured when Russian warplanes shelled the city with cluster bombs. 

The jets also targeted a number of towns in Aleppo western countryside with vacuum missiles.

Meanwhile, 13 Syrian army personnel and their supporting militias were killed in western Aleppo.

Fatah Halab joint operations room aired a video that shows that the forces had killed a number of Syrian army personnel and their supporting militias with a thermal rocket.

Syrian army forces controlled seven towns south of Al Bab city, sources said.

A total of 11 Daesh militants were killed while a number of vehicles belonging to the terrorist group were injured during clashes that erupted in the area, field sources said.

In the meantime, other sources said Daesh group deployed its forces at the outskirts of Al Bab city.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the Syrian Democratic Forces, supported by US-led coalition warplanes, are advancing in northern Al Raqqah countryside.

Meanwhile, Russian Defense Ministry said it is ready to announce a new humanitarian truce in Aleppo after the United Nations officially announced its readiness to deliver humanitarian aid in eastern Aleppo.
