Amman - PETRA

Minister of Health Abdul Latif Wreikat on Monday called on international organisations to support Jordan’s efforts in hosting refugees. During a meeting with World Health Organisation (WHO) Representative in Jordan Akram Eltoum, the two officials discussed the organisation’s role regarding healthcare services provided to Syrian refugees in the Kingdom. Eltoum voiced the WHO’s appreciation for Jordan’s efforts to provide Syrian refugees with health services. Also on Sunday, Wreikat met with Sri Lankan Ambassador to Jordan Gamini Rajapakse and discussed means to provide Sri Lankan workers in Jordan with health insurance.
