Ahmed announced that he will work for free in the second season of “Al Gamaa” (The Brotherhood). Azmy told Arabstoday that the show\'s writer Waheed Hamed is now working on the second part of the series, which will introduce the late leader of the Muslim Brotherhood Abdel Rahman al-Sanady as the main storyline. Azmy played al-Sanady in the first season and said “I’ll not be paid for working in the second part, in solidarity with the producers because of the importance of the series. The series objectively reveals the truth about the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.” In his film “Saa wa Nesf” (An Hour And a Half), Azmy appeared in only three scenes and believes the film is one of the most important ones produced in Egyptian cinema. He said “I don’t exaggerate saying that it is the first Egyptian film with more than 30 stars. I took the part because of the film\'s message, I don\'t care about the number of scenes I\'m in.” Azmy said he is not disappointed that his film “Wa Baad al Toufan” (After the Deluge) didn\'t receive an award in Alexandria Film Festival and that he considers “the presence of the film in the festival as a prize in itself. The film won a prize in Rabat festival, so if it didn\'t win anything at the Alexandria Film Festival it means that the jury is being neutral, which makes me proud as an Egyptian because my country had a respectable festival.” Azmy expressed his happiness in starring alongside Hanan Turk in “Okht Terez” (Sister Tereza) and added, he is was unhappy when she announced her retirement from acting, but wished her luck in her the future. On working with Mohamed Saad in “Shams al-Ansary”, Azmy said “I’m happy to work with Mohamed Saad who is one of the most talented actors of his generation and he proved it in the series.\"
