Egyptian singer Amer Muneeb recently fell into a coma and was immediately admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at a private hospital in Cairo. Last year the singer was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and had the tumor removed in Germany. His condition had improved tremendously and the singer was ready to return to resume a number of postponed projects. Severe pain had returned and took its toll on the singer leading him to fall into a coma. Doctors had refused to give details of the singer’s condition and just asked everyone to pray for him. A number of artists had visited the singer to wish him a speedy recovery. Jamal Muneeb, the singer’s brother, stated that Amer’s condition is now stabilizing and he may be removed from ICU in the upcoming few days, but will remain under strict supervision at the hospital. Among the artists that have visited Amer are singer Shireen Abd Al Wahab, Angham and Eman Bahr Darweesh. Muneeb’s career includes 13 albums the last being “Hatha Min Al Sama”, in addition to having starred in a number of films like “Al Ghawas” (The Diver), “Kamel Al Awsaf” (Perfect), “Sihr Al Eyoon” (The magic of the eyes) and many more.
