Egyptian actress Donia Samir Ghanem expressed her pleasure for her appointment as a Good-Will Ambassador by UNICEF, saying that she will hold meetings with the organization’s officials to draft a plan for her work with them during the coming period.
She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that she plans for launching campaigns to increase awareness among the people over the importance of sound education for children, stressing that she will work to correct a large number of wrong concepts in this regard.
She stressed her intention to issue a new singing album for children, stressing her keenness to provide messages through her works, including her comedy drama shows. She added that it is the role of artist to use his popularity to support the charity works.
The recent UNICEF’s festival witnessed the appointment of three new Good-Will Ambassadors, including actor Ahmed Helmy, actress Mona Zaki, and actress Donia Samir Ghanem.
