Egyptian actor Ahmed el-Sakka has had his appendix removed in an emergency operation in a Cairo hospital on Sunday, after experiencing severe abdominal pains. El-Sakka will have 10 days recuperation after the operation, then he is free to go. The popular actor is apparently preparing for a handful of new projects, including a sequel to hit movie, The Island. The actor last appeared in TV drama Red Lines, shown during Ramadan in 2012, winning a series of awards for his role.
