Nicki Minaj

Rap star Nicki Minaj on Tuesday announced a summer of arena shows in North America following concerts in Europe despite the killing of her tour manager.
Minaj, one of the most successful female rappers, announced 14 shows in the United States and five in Canada starting on July 17 in Dallas.
On Monday night she started a European tour in Stockholm.
The tour went ahead even though Minaj's tour manager, De'Von Pickett, was stabbed to death last month outside a bar in Philadelphia.
Police arrested a suspect in the stabbing, which also injured a member of Minaj's entourage.
Local television said that the fight broke out when members of Minaj's team, who were in Philadelphia to prepare for the tour, tried to help a female bartender leave safely.
Minaj, who was born in Trinidad and raised in New York, has been a frequent collaborator with superstars including Madonna and Justin Bieber.
Her third studio album, "The Pinkprint," was released last year and is full of autobiographical material, including a song about coping with a cousin's violent death.
