Syrian singer Sabah Fakhry

Iconic Syrian singer Sabah Fakhry has denied false rumors circulating about his death saying that his health condition is stable.
Fakhry, 84, is the latest victim of an internet death hoax after false news of his death has recently circulated on social media websites.
Speaking to Arab Today, he was quoted as saying “the reports are untrue and I am in good health and will be returning soon to his beloved audience. I believe in destiny and I thank God for the health and the love of people.”
The love of people is the real fortune that accompanies the artist in his life and stays eternal after his death, Fakhry added.
Fakhry is an iconic Syrian traditional and tenor singer, who was born in Aleppo in 1923.
Over the past 50 years of fame and popularity as a singer, Sabah Fakhri modified and popularized the then-fading form of traditional Arabic music, Muwashahat and Qudud Halabiya. He was well known for his exceptionally strong vocals, impeccable execution of Maqamat and harmony, as well as charismatic performances. He has numerous admirers around the world, and an excellent performer of authentic Arabic Tarab.
