The 3rd Metro line is back to normal after making sure all trains and the platform at Abbassiya station are safe after an accident involving a commuter-free train at the station, Minister of Transport Hani Dahi said Wednesday.

The Metro line 3 extends from Attaba station in downtown till Al Ahram station in Heliopolis.

Head of the Metro Authority Ali al Fadali said power cables and control units were fixed and tests were carried out at the site to ensure safety.

He thanked workers and leaderships at the Ministry of Transport, the Metro Authority, the Railways Authority, the National Underground Authority and Petrojet Company for their efforts to fix the train and resume the Metro line movement.
