Civil Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal said on Tuesday that talks are ongoing with Moscow for the resumption of Russian flights to Egypt.

"The Russian side is ready to re-operate flights to Egypt," the minister said in statements.

"I expect the return of the Russian flights in the first half of 2016," Kamal added.

He pointed out that a memorandum of understanding was signed between Egypt and Russia for Cairo to get Sukhoi passenger planes.
