35 dead in suicide bombings in Yemen ex-Qaeda bastion: new toll

A wave of suicide bombings targeting Yemeni troops killed at least 35 people Monday in the southeastern city of Mukalla, a former Al-Qaeda bastion, a health official said giving a new toll 

Twenty-five other people were wounded in the bombings that shook  Mukalla, the provincial capital of Hadramawt, at sunset, Hadramawt's health chief Riad al-Jalili told AFP.

A security official had earlier given a toll of 19 killed.
