A victory for Greece's radical left Syriza party in Sunday's general election would deliver "a key message for Europe" as it faces the migrant crisis and economic woes, Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras said Friday.

Speaking to thousands of supporters in his last electoral rally in Athens, the former prime minister said: "Do we want a Europe of austerity or one of solidarity and democracy? The result (of the vote) will be a key message for Europe."
