French demonstrators protesting a labour reform bill clashed with police in the western cities of Nantes and Rennes on Thursday as around 10 people were arrested in Paris, police said.

More than 200 demonstrations were planned across the country, just a day after beleaguered President Francois Hollande was forced into an embarrassing U-turn over constitutional changes.
