A suicide bomber from Somalia's Shabaab insurgents killed at least 13 policemen and wounded a dozen more on Thursday when he blew himself up inside the main police academy, officers said.

"The suicide blast killed 13 policemen and wounded 15 others," senior police officer Ibrahim Mohamed said. The Al-Qaeda-affiliated Shabaab have claimed responsibility for the attack in the capital Mogadishu.
