At least 25 people have been killed and scores others wounded in an explosion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, local media reported Friday.

The blast took place earlier today in the vicinity of Kalaya Bazzar area located in Hangu city, Pakistani channel Geo said.

According to the preliminary reports, the explosion occurred close to a site of worship but the nature of the blast has not yet been identified. No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility behind the explosion.
