The death toll from a giant landslide at Ethiopia's biggest rubbish dump rose to 46, an official in Addis Ababa said on Sunday.

Dagmawit Moges, head of the city communications bureau, said 32 of the dead were women and 14 were men. Squatters living at the dump have blamed Saturday's tragedy on a biogas plant being built nearby.
