French President Emmanuel Macron's centrist party and its allies were headed for victory after Sunday's first round parliamentary elections with 32.32 percent of the vote, according to final results.
His Republique en Marche (Republic on the Move, REM) party and its ally MoDem outstripped the right on 21.56 percent and the far-right National Front of Marine Le Pen on 13.20 percent, according to results released by the interior ministry at 1:30 am Monday.
