French rightwing candidate Francois Fillon vowed on Wednesday to pursue his scandal-hit presidential bid despite falling polling numbers and pressure from some party colleagues to quit. 

"When you decide to be a presidential candidate, you can't complain afterwards about the severity of the attacks... I will contest them to the end. I will be a candidate at this presidential election," he said at a business fair in Paris.
