Congo protesters block a street

Demonstrators and security forces clashed for a second day Wednesday in the Republic of Congo capital in unrest fuelled by the president's bid to extend his three-decade stay in office, an AFP reporter said.

A day after four people were killed and 10 hurt in protests, dozens of youths took to the streets in a western district in an apparent bid to throw up barricades as police fired rounds of tear gas grenades to keep them back.
