Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh called arch-rival Pakistan a "terrorist state" after militants attacked an army base in Indian-administered Kashmir on Sunday, killing 17 soldiers.

"Pakistan is a terrorist state and it should be identified and isolated as such," Singh said on Twitter, without directly blaming India's nuclear-armed neighbour for the attack.
