Israel's navy on Wednesday intercepted an activist boat seeking to break the country's blockade of the Gaza Strip, saying it was boarded without incident and was being directed to shore.
"In accordance with government directives and after exhausting all diplomatic channels, the Israeli navy redirected the vessel in order to prevent breach of the lawful maritime blockade," the military said in a statement.
"The visit and search of the vessel was uneventful."
